Special Thought Until Next Time:


   Treasure the moments you have with those you love and never miss out on a chance to say “I Love You!”  When Dad and Barb drove up here in October for Canadian Thanksgiving, I knew in my heart (even though I hoped I was wrong) that it might be the last time I’d ever get to hug him.  Every phone call after that, as he grew steadily weaker, was spent saying those words over and over.  Going there amid pre-Christmas chaos and last minute ticket prices was just the final physical goodbye... for now.


May those you love always know how much their are held

in your heart...

I am SO glad to be starting a NEW YEAR!  December ended up being a sad and scary month as those of you who follow my blogs know.  My father lost his battle with colon cancer and I had to race down to Tulsa, Oklahoma for 3 days on the weekend before Christmas, coming home on the 21st behind the massive snowstorm that hit the Eastern USA. (Not something I’d ever recommend doing!) The rest of December was spent just spending time with my family and saying goodbye to 2009 on New Year’s Eve with close friends who had a hard year too.


DOODLE CONTEST RESULTS...

The doodling contest turned out to be a bit of a bust. I received 3 adorable entries from a stitcher and her daughter Scarlett, so they will both win prizes... because they were the ONLY ONES TO ENTER!  This just proves how easy it can be to win, so next time... don’t second guess yourself, just TRY!

OK... maybe some of you were afraid to show off your drawings, so let’s try this contest for the remaining Artist Trading Card that I created.  Just post your answer as a comment HERE and see how funny you can be!

WHAT’S AHEAD?

2010 is going to be full of fun on this site as well

as through my blogs.  I am determined to have

WAY more fun in 2010 than last year!!! Next month,

there will be a tiny sample dragon with a heart for

valentine’s day and NO COLOUR KEY (just symbols)

... so the contest will be to see how creative you can

be stitching one up before Nick’s birthday on March

21st!!  Get your needles ready and start looking through your stashes!!
